What's New?
May 1, 2005 I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a Mass Media Emphasis and and
Studio Art minor.
During my three years at Concordia I was able to participate in many major and career related activities. These
include: working for the newspaper The Concordian, as the Advertising Manager (2 years) and the Graphics Editor (1
year); On-Air, the student news program produced live once each week and then aired on a rotating basis on the college
cable station as well as the Fargo-Moorhead Cable Access station. KORD, the campus radio station, where I was a DJ.
Additionally, during my studies I was able to study abroad on two seperate occassions. The first trip, in May
2004, was for my minor in Art and focused on the Expressionist Artists of the early 20th Century. In May 2005,
I was able to take a second trip which focused on Media Communication. Split into "city groups" each group was assigned
to shoot and edit a 6-12 minute video on the city/country, and issues that the country is currently dealing with. The
opportunity to work in a group setting on such a project was a huge learning experience, and one that I believe will transfer
into my career path.
Currently, I am working for the City of Bloomington, MN as a Lifeguard for a third consecutive summer. During
this time I will be working towards finding a career in a Communications, Media, and Marketing related field.
